Privacy policy

The short version: I collect the details you send me so I can reply and do the work you've asked for. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and there's no marketing list. The longer version is below.

Who I am

LM Digital is the trading name of Luke Millward, a sole trader based in Stockport, UK. I'm the only person who handles your data, and you can reach me about any of this at [email protected].

What I collect, and why

When you use the contact form or email me: your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell me (business name, phone number, your message). I use it to reply, give you a quote, and carry out any work we agree. The legal basis is taking steps you've asked for before entering a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me.

When you become a client: the details needed to do the job and to invoice you — contact details, billing address, and records of the work. UK tax law requires me to keep invoices and basic accounting records for six years.

I don't collect anything else, and I never buy, sell or swap contact lists.

Who else touches your data

These services process data on my behalf, only to do their job:

  • Web3Forms delivers contact-form messages to my inbox. It passes your message through; it doesn't keep a copy for its own use.
  • Cloudflare hosts this site and, like any host, sees standard technical logs (IP addresses, pages requested). If analytics are enabled, it's Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't track or profile individual visitors.
  • Stripe handles payments for clients. Your card or bank details go directly to Stripe; I never see or store them. Stripe has its own privacy policy covering that.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies, which is why there's no cookie banner.

How long I keep things

Enquiries that don't go anywhere are deleted within a year. Client records are kept while you're a client, and invoices/accounting records for the six years the law requires. Backups of client websites are kept only as long as the care plan or project needs them.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it (I'll say so plainly if a legal requirement, like tax records, means I can't delete something yet). Email [email protected] and I'll sort it — no forms, no runaround.

If you're not happy with how I've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes
